We had a fantastic trip to Paris for Cat and Dom’s engagement photo shoot in June. Altogether there was 8 of us leaving in a mini bus for Paris at 4 am with far from ideal weather predicted for the 2 days. We managed to get to Paris early enough for Cat to have her hair and makeup done professionally before heading to the iconic Eiffel Tower. It was easy enough getting around town in taxis but getting photos without hundreds of tourists in the backgrounds was something we always knew would be an issue. I was lucky enough to have my good friend Jon from Heart Weddings assisting me on the trip and acting as my voice controlled light stand – knowing exactly where I needed my light without giving lots of direction. After photographing near the Eiffel Tower and managing to convince a guy selling bubble wands to send some bubbles our way to make a creative photo, it was time for some food and bed.
The next day we travelled to the historic monument and the world’s largest art museum the Louvre taking photos on the way. That is the beauty of Paris – there are so many places to take amazing photos as the architecture is so different to anywhere else in the world.
I’d like to thank Cat and Dom for taking Jon and myself to Paris and Jon at Heart Weddings for assisting me on the two days. I’m looking forward to their wedding later this year.
I’ve added a small selection of my favourite photos from the trip below.
