The wedding of Pam and Sujan at St Andrews church in Whilton with the reception at Fawsley Hall was one wedding this year we couldn’t wait to photograph.
With Sujan coming from a traditional Sikh background and Pam from a traditional English background, this was a wedding where two cultures came together.
The wedding took place in Pam’s home town of Whilton, where her parents still currently reside. Sujan had made his way there the evening before and we went to meet him at the local country pub where he was staying on the morning of the wedding. After a lovely breakfast we made our way to the grooms bedroom to take the preparation photos. Sujan was very photogenic as you’ll see in the photos below, and we used a variety of lighting to get these types of shots.
We then made our way to Pam’s parents home where we were greeted with the usual hustle and bustle of a wedding morning. While Pam was getting her makeup done we took some reportage style photos of herself and her bridesmaids and also the detail shots. Once Pam’s hair and makeup was ready we then photographed the bridal shots using soft window light, this gives great texture in the dress and beautifully soft skin tones.
Then it was off to the church for the wedding ceremony. It was a lovely traditional English church with great surrounding views and fantastic stain glassed windows. Although all photography was prohibited through the ceremony we did manage to take some discreet shots to capture the moment.
The wedding reception at Fawsley Hall
Finally we headed off to Fawsley Hall for the reception, where we took the remainder of the photos in this wonderful scenic venue.
It was a wonderful wedding and we wish Pam and Sujan all the happiness in their future together.
We’ve added a small selection of photos from their wedding day below. If you are considering a St Andrews Church Wedding or Fawsley Hall Wedding, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
