It was a beautiful sunny morning as I drove up the country lanes to Moxhull Hall at the end of September to start photographing Hayley’s bridal preparation photos. I met with Hayley as she was unloading her car with her mum into the bridal suite. I’ve photographed at Moxhull Hall a few times and the grounds and hotel itself are stunning.
I’d asked Hayley to have her hair done before I turned up so it was just a case of her doing her makeup and getting into her dress. These are the moments that I love to document as I just sit back and take in what’s going on in the room without getting too involved. Hayley looked gorgeous in her dress as did the bridesmaids and I did some high fashion style photos of Hayley before going down to the ceremony area to meet up with Ian.
Ian was having a fire service guard of honour at the end of the ceremony and all the men looked very dapper in their uniforms.
The wedding ceremony at Moxhull Hall
The ceremony was to be held outside in Moxhull Hall’s fabulous grounds. As it commenced and the bridesmaids made their way towards the gazebo where the ceremony was taking place I could see Ian getting more and more nervous to see his beautiful fiancé. As the sun trickled through the trees onto the guests Hayley made her way down the path towards the gazebo following her bridesmaids. After the vows and rings were exchanged and all the official wedding documents were signed the couple made the way down the path getting showered in petals instead of confetti, something I hadn’t seen before but was very unique.
Ian’s a fire fighter and had arranged for a fire engine and crew to turn up as a surprise for Hayley and certainly made for some special photos outside the entrance of Moxhull Hall.
I photographed this wedding up until the first dance and I’ve added a small selection of their wedding photos below.
