We had a fantastic time at Michelle and Chris’s wedding at Packington Moor in Staffordshire. We had already photographed the couple a few months ago for their engagement photo shoot in Cannon Hill park.
We turned up at Chris’s parents house early in the morning to get the groom preparation photos, Chris’s dad had surprised him in the morning by getting his old MG sports car working so Chris could drive it to the wedding. His dad had worked for months on it since Chris had never seen it on the road before let alone driven it! It was gleaming and was pride of place on the driveway. Chris was very relaxed having his photos done and we loved photographing the family and groomsmen in their beautiful garden, in the sunshine.
We left Chris and his dad to test drive the car while we drove to meet with Michelle and her bridesmaids to get her preparation photos.
Michelle was getting ready at the stunning Netherstowe House, a great venue and very quirky. Michelle was having her hair and makeup finished when we arrived so we started with the detail photos using a mixture of lighting techniques to get the look we wanted. We used natural window light to photograph Michelle and we always choose this light where possible as it gives great texture to the dress and very soft light on the brides skin. Michelle looked beautiful in her wedding dress and was very relaxed even though we were running a little late.
The wedding ceremony at Packington Moor
We made our way to Packington Moor and met up with Michelle and her dad as they pulled up in a polished Rolls Royce. It was great to have some photos with the bride and bridesmaids before the ceremony started. The weather stayed glorious for the whole day and as you’ll see in the pictures below everyone really enjoyed themselves.
We loved their wedding and we wish Michelle and Chris all the happiness in their future together.
We’ve added a small selection of photos from their wedding day below. If you are considering a Wedding at Packington Moor, then please don’t hesitate to contact me.
