I always knew the wedding of Natalie and Chris at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall would be special. They had chosen to get married at one of Cornwall’s most premium wedding venues. Polhawn Fort has been there since 1867 and hosts 2-3 weddings a week on average. It is a unique, romantic and exclusive use wedding venue on the Cornish coast with views to die for.
I took the 4-hour drive down from Birmingham to Polhawn Fort the day before the wedding so I was fresh in the morning. I had already checked the weather and was expecting warm sunny weather over the next couple of days and that’s exactly what we got. I knew I wanted to document the whole day and leave the couple with an array of photos they could look back on and relive their special day over and over again.

Natalie and Chris had planned the day perfectly with cream teas and scones after the ceremony and a sit-down buffet later on. We managed to get some time to also go down to the beach in the evening while the guests played with the outdoor garden games. To get to the secluded beach involved navigating our way down some pretty steep steps but the photos and time out for the couple was well worth it. We were also treated to a beautiful sunset which led me to take some silhouette shots just before the sun went out of view.
I enjoyed the friendly and chilled out vibe throughout the day and the marshmallows in the fire pit and sparkler tunnel I setup when it got dark just finished the day off nicely.
I loved being involved in their special day and hopefully, the small selection of photos I’ve added below will show you how beautiful their wedding day was.
