What an incredible wedding I had at the Limes Country Lodge Hotel in Earlswood, with the weather due to be sunny all day without being too hot and a horse drawn carriage booked for the bride and groom to be taken to the reception it was going to be a great wedding. The Limes Country Lodge has over 6 acres of land to freely use by the wedding party and it’s a wedding photographers paradise, everywhere you turn their is an idyllic setting to take photos. The wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful St Mary Magdalene Church in Tanworth-in-Arden where I’ve shot weddings before and is lovely inside and out. Alicia and her bridesmaids were getting ready at the Limes Country Lodge Hotel in the morning where the reception would be held later on in the day, while Simon and his groomsmen were getting ready at his home. Alicia had a beautiful horse drawn carriage to take her and her dad to the church while the guests travelled in a coach and the bridesmaids in a silver limo. After the church ceremony the bride and groom had a surprise chimney sweeper waiting outside for them. This is said to be good luck with the power vested in him by King George II, following a tradition that started about 200 years ago when a London chimney sweeper saved the life of King George II. They had also organised for a dove release waiting for them which I’ve never photographed before and made for some fantastic photos.
The Limes Country Lodge Hotel Wedding
After the Bride and groom left the church in their horse drawn carriage they made their way to the Limes Country Lodge Hotel, when they arrived I set about organising the guests for the group photos. I try to do this as efficiently as possible so guests can get back to enjoying themselves and drinking the bar dry. I’ll let the pictures below tell the rest of the day but just want to wish Alicia and Simon all the very best in their future together.
If you’re getting married at the Limes Country Lodge Hotel in Earlswood or St Mary Magdalene Church in Tanworth-in-Arden or knows someone that is and likes my wedding photography style, then don’t hesitate to get in touch as I can get booked up as early as 3 years in advance!
I’ve added a selection of my favourite images from their wedding day. Please feel free to comment and share this post with friends and family.
